JLG Vertical Lift 9MP: Function Check

Use this checklist to d to help prevent potential safety issues that could be caused by malfunctioning or damaged equipment. Things like hydraulic failure, stability issues, and other issues that can increase the risk of a tip-over or other safety incident.

JLG Vertical Lift 9MP: Function Check

Perform a Function Check as Follows:

Ground Controls:

Turn on the main power key switch.

Set the floor stop.

Ensure that all machine functions are disabled when the emergency stop button on the ground control station is activated.

Enter the platform and raise the platform a few feet. Have an assistant lower the platform to check that the manual descent control valve is operating properly.

Platform Controls

Ensure the platform controls are properly mounted and secure.

With the floor stop set, raise and lower platform 2ft. to 3ft. (.61m to 92m) several times. Check for smooth elevation and lowering of platform.

Disengage the floor stop and ensure the platform does not elevate without the floor stop set.

Ensure that all machine functions are disabled when the platform emergency stop button is activated.
