• Check for signs of active leaks, including water spots, moisture or puddles, and the presence of mold or mildew.

• Check for signs of corrosion on all visible pipes.

• Check that the water heater is at the correct temperature and isn't leaking.

• Test all drains and ensure there are no clogs.

• Test that the safety and shutoff valves function properly.

• Exercise the valves to each fixture to ensure proper operation and check for leaks.

• Check the faucets and fixtures for proper operation and ensure they are snug.

• Check the aerators for proper operation. Clean or replace as necessary.

• Inspect the toilet for proper operation. Check for leaks around the tank to bowl connection, the floor seal, and plumbing connections.

• Inspect the caulking throughout Bathroom and Kitchen for cracking, molding, or leaking.

• Visually inspect backflows, irrigation valves, and hose bibs for any leaking or running water.

• Inspect bathtub overflow assembly. Check for damaged or hardened wedge gasket, check for proper function of the tub stop assembly.

• Inspect shower curtain, hooks and rod for any damage.

• Inspect shower head for proper operation. Insure it is tight, functional, and not leaking.
