The equipment operator shall perform a visual inspection of the crane for the following conditions and report any deficiencies to the foreman prior to operating the equipment.
ITEM
Engine Oil Level
Fuel Level
Belts and Water Hoses
Tires or Tracks
Reverse Alarms
Fire Extinguisher (accessible, adequately charged, properly sealed, undamaged) I
Engine Coolant Level
Drain Air Tanks
Brake Operation
All lights and windows.
All control mechanisms for maladjustment interfering with proper operation.
Deterioration or leakage in lines, tanks, hoses, valves, pumps, cylinders and other parts
Hydraulic systems oil levels.
Visual Inspection of hooks and latches for cracks, deformation and wear.
Load indicating, anti-two-block warning, and two-block damage prevention systems for proper operation according to the system manufacturer's written instructions.
Hoist ropes for kinking, crushing, unstranding, birdcaging or corrosion
Boom angle or radius indicator
Operator's manual and load chart.
