Use this checklist for the removal and cleaning of your Safety Relief Valve. This will help you ensure the quality performance of your equipment for a long period of time.

Removal and Cleaning of Safety Relief Valve

Open the lid and then remove the deadweight valve cap and deadweight.
Open the lid and then remove the deadweight valve cap and deadweight.
Immerse the safety relief valve in a soap water solution for 24 hours. Use a 1:1 dilution ratio. The valve cannot be disassembled. It is factory preset to open at 14-1/2 pounds of pressure. If it does not open or close, it must be replaced.
