Verify that the amusement ride contractor’s license and operating permit are valid
Log book up to date and available to personnel
Safety bulletin(s) reviewed and requirements completed. Ensure that safety bulletins are available to personne
Set-up checklist reviewed and available to personnel
Manufacturers operation and service manuals available to personnel
Daily checklist and examination procedures implemented
Operator/maintenance training completed and documented
Operating procedures reviewed and available to personnel
Emergency evacuation procedures reviewed and available personnel
Housekeeping performed
Fencing - in good repair/correct amount
Warning/instruction signs - in good repair. All manufacturer required signs accounted for
Assess hazards - clearance to power lines, buildings, or similar hazards
Weather procedures (wind, rain, lighting) reviewed and available
ANCHORING
Correct number of and length of anchor stakes used confirmed
Correct number and weight of anchors used (water, sand bags, other) confirmed
Anchor points marked to prevent trip hazard
Condition of rope or webbing used to anchor the device - Inspection
STRUCTURE
Condition of the inflated devices structural material - Inspection
If repairs were made to the structural material, a fire rated material was used
Condition of all anchor points, webbing, metal rings, stitching, other - Inspection
Condition of all features/items inside of inflated device (ramp, stairs, slide, tunnels, games) - Inspection
Manufacturers information decal(s) clearly visible - Inspection
Leaks in fabric repaired
Emergency air release locations checked (zippers, velcro) - Inspection
ELECTRICAL
Blower(s) have correct Canadian electrical approval - Verify
Condition of blower(s) - Inspection
Number of blowers in use

Blower connected to a ground fault circuit interrupter protected circuit - Verify
Assess the condition of extension cords and confirm that the correct size of extension cord used
Condition of generator (if used) - Inspection
Generator or gas powered blower set up a safe distance from inflatable(s)
Air flap on blower output- Inspection
OPERATION
Ensure that blower(s) provide adequate air flow to support device with people inside or on it
