Cracked, split or broken uprights, braces, steps or rungs
Rungs, cleats and steps are uniformly spaced at 12" (+/- 2")
Rungs or steps on metal ladders corrugated or knurled
Wooden parts free from splinters, cracks or decay
Joints between rungs and side rails tight (cannot be moved by hand)
Damaged or work non-slip bases
Loose nails, screws, bolts or other materials
Slivers on uprights, rungs or steps
Rungs or steps missing
Free from grease, oil or slippery materials
Wooden ladders cannot have opaque coatings
Moveable parts operate freely
Rails free from cracks or splits
