INSTRUCTIONS
Complete each section as indicated. Defective equipment and components must not be used and must be repaired before use. Completed Pre-Use Inspections should be stored for a minimum of 7 years with other safety documentation.

CRANKCASE OIL – Proper level
AIR CLEANER/FILTERS – Clean, free of debris
BATTERY – Charged, clean terminals, correct fluid level, no leaks, secure
RADIATOR/HOSE – No leaks, correct fluid level
WIRING – Clean, no breaks in insulation
GREASE FITTINGS – Clean, operable, lubricated
FUEL – No leaks, proper type, adequate supply
HYDRAULIC OIL/TANK – Proper level, no leaks
HYDRAULICS/FITTINGS – No visible cracks, damage or leaks
WASHER FLUID – Adequate supply
WINDSHIELD/WINDOWS – No damage, good visibility
WINDSHIELD WIPERS – Working, no damage
HANDRAILS/STEPS/PLATFORM – Clean, in good condition
FIRE EXTINGUISHER – Charged, secured, easily accessible
GAUGES/INSTRUMENTS – Working properly, no damage
CONTROLS – Working properly, engage/disengage without issue
BRAKES – Locking device working, properly adjusted, no leaks
SEAT/SEATBELT – Good Condition, working properly
HOUSEKEEPING – Cab free of garbage, debris, clutter
MIRRORS – No damage, clean, properly adjusted
LIGHTING – Working, no damage
SMV SIGN – Mounted, visible
IMPLEMENTS/ATTACHMENTS – Securely connected, in good working order
ENVIRONMENTAL – No fluid leaks
NOISE – No unusual noises, hearing protection available
COMMUNICATION – Are you able to communicate with supervision/call for help?
WORKING ALONE – Do you have a working alone plan in place?
OTHER – List Item
The Farm Operator must be made aware of any defective equipment or components that cannot be repaired before use and advise the tractor operator accordingly
