ENERGY CONTROL PROGRAM
Perform LOTO in accordance with the LOTO risk assessment.
Requirement
This PM must be completed by a licensed electrical contractor (certified to work on commercial high voltage) and not a Cintas partner.
All electrical/arc flash PPE must be used for this process
Remove covers
Perform LDL to ensure power is removed.
Inspect enclosure and structures
Switchgear Ensure that all enclosure panels, doors and structures are well maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specification. (Appendix 1)
Inspect enclosure and structures
Clean all vents and fan grills of all dust and/or dirt accumulation.
Ensure all ventilation openings are not obstructed/blocked. (Appendix 2)
Inspect enclosure and structures
Check integrity of seals and/or gaskets where installed, these should be examined and replaced or repaired as necessary.

Electrical equipment rooms or vaults should be clean of dirt and/or dust accumulation and have adequate ventilation.
Inspect Insulators, supports, and connectors
Inspect insulators and conductor supports for signs of cracking, broken pieces, and other physical damage or deterioration.

Clean all loose dirt with lint-free rags. For contaminates that will not remove easily, a solvent approved by the manufacturer may be used.
