1. Test the Emergency Stop Buttons each week by activating it while the pumps are running. Test pump start/stop buttons and ensure that they are working correctly. REFER NO: 1
2. Test Varec Gauges are working, clean glass if required. Check if figures on the counter can be read easily. Check the accuracy of gauges against manual dips. Take Temperature of each tank. Record results. REFER NOTE: 2
3. Inspect P & V vents and check for signs of vapor leak from tank top fittings. Check Free Vents and P & V vents and ensure that nothing is blocking vent outlets. REFER NOTE: 3
4. Take samples from observation wells. If free fuel is found record the quantity found and not from which well fuel was found. Report this to your supervisor REFER NOTE: 4
5. Check the weeds are not overgrown around the tank farm, yard and beside the fences. Organize grass cutting with your supervisor. REFER NOTE: 5
6. Check that the terminal drainage is clear and free flowing around tanks, bund and the yard. Check for signs of product. If product is found, Determine source. REFER NOTE: 6
7. Inspect Tank earth straps. Ensure that they are secure. Check for any possible breaks in continuity from corrosion on tank lugs or broken earth straps. REFER NOTE: 7
8. Inspect earthing straps in the Truck Fill Buy, the Drum Fill Shed and sample buckets, are secure and the bull clips work correctly. REFER NOTE: 7
9. Check fire extinguishers. Check that gauge shows there is pressure in the extinguisher. Remove hose & check that it is clear. REFER NOTE: 9
10. Check & record D.P gauge readings on Aviation Microfilter. Fill in Aviation Quality Manual. REFER NOTE: 10
11. Check Tractor/Trailer mileage on hubometers and record mileage readings. Refer to Maintenance Schedule. Is any service due? Report to Site Supervisor. REFER NOTE: 11
12. Check the Oil Level for the T/Wash Unit. Top up if required. Flush & Clean Detergent Tank. Clean water intake Strainers. REFER NOTE: 12
13. Clean the compressors Air Filter. Clean all external parts of compressors and drive. Safety Relief Valves to be tested manually. REFER NOTE: 13
14. Check portable diesel pumps. Check Oil Level, Check Fuel Level. Check for loose bolts. Clean the air cleaner element. Check for unusual noises or vibrations. Check for oil and fuel leakage from engine. Check for pump leaks and seals. REFER NOTE: 14
15. Test Fire Alarm. Check Oil Level in the Fire Pump. Test remote start for Fire Pump Unit. Check the level of foam in the foam tank. REFER NOTE: 15
16. Check for any hazards that may endanger Terminal activities. Report any hazards you may come across during your inspections to the Site Supervisor. REFER NOTE: 16
