    Gather all necessary materials before starting the inspection.

    Materials Checklist

    Review the checklist to understand inspection points.

    Note the location of each drain on the checklist.

    Shine the flashlight into each drain to inspect for water in the trap.A closer look can provide insight with smells of sewer gas. If you smell it, likely it’s dry.
