Routine maintenance is a way of managing risks in a community’s play areas. Protect patrons from costly accidents by demonstrating the community’s standard of care while you lower your liability. It simply makes good economic sense to maintain the equipment and extend the life of your organization’s investment.

    Routine Maintenance

    Preventive Maintenance – Perform preventive measures to avoid maintenance issues that could become a hazard to park users and result in unnecessary costs. These items include but are not limited to:

    Repairs

    Work Order Priority - Perform services in accordance with an established work order priority schedule. After hours and emergency work orders may be authorized verbally and followed up with a written work order. The City has the following response time requirements for work orders:

    Litter, Debris and Trash Removal

    Restroom Cleaning

    Graffiti Removal

    Vandalism Repairs

    Playground Inspection and Repair

    Sport Courts Inspection and Repair

    Sidewalks and Trails

    Pavilions

    Landscape and Turf: During the off-season (November 1 through March 31 approximately):

    Edging Curbs, Sidewalks and Pavilions

    Aerating Turf

    Over seeding

    Fertilizing Turf

    Herbicide Use

    Sodding

    Irrigation System Management / Maintenance

    Flower Bed Maintenance

    Tree Removal and Pruning

    Parking Lot maintenance

    Dog Park (where applicable)

    Storm Water Maintenance (Within Parks only)

    Electrical/Lighting Maintenance
