MONTHLY FORKLIFT SERVICE AND INSPECTION - Tools & Supplies Needed: Grease, grease gun, rags, air nozzle
Safety Inspections
Inspect fire extinguisher to ensure it is securely mounted to the lift and is fully charged.
Inspect seat belts to ensure it locks and that the fabric is not excessively worn.
Inspect gauges to ensure they are operational and the gauge lights work.
Inspect Back-up Alarm
Inspect All Lights
Inspect Horn Operation.
Check the park brake to ensure it engages.
Mechanical Service
Inspect tires to ensure adequate tread and no excessive chunks are missing out of tire.
Inspect forks to ensure they are not bent or cracked.
Check entire lift for obvious signs of damage.
Inspect engine compartment and underneath lift to determine if there are any oil leaks.
Inspect all hydraulic controls on the lift to ensure they operate smoothly and correctly.
