This procedure outlines the steps necessary to correctly polish the sealed concrete floors at the Mainland restaurant.
Before beginning floor polishing process remove all furniture from restaurant floor. While moving items take note of an debris that may not be removed through standard cleaning.
Remove any stiff residue with a brush or scrapper - be cautious not to scratch flooring.
Sweep, mop and scrub the restaurant floor using standard floor cleaner to prep for polish. Squeegees are great tools to assist in the cleaning process
Apply floor polishing with a clean mop head using figure 8 motion throughout restaurant floor. Product requires 30 minutes between applications. Apply 2-4 times.
Once ZEP Wet Look Floor Polish is dry the floor must be buffed. A specific buffing machine is not required but the Viper 20" Low Speed Floor Buffer works great (always use low speed). The RED buffing pad is best for this process. 3M 5100 Buffing Pad Uline Model Number: S-20355
