Rainin Disp-X Disassembly

Instructions are provided for disassembling the unit thoroughly to facilitate cleaning, with the added option of autoclaving for sanitation purposes.

Remove feed tube and unscrew the top portion of the plunger. Once unscrewed, remove plunger tube from internal glass tube.

Gently separate the plunger housing. The bottom of the plunger housing has two hook shaped points that act to hold the housing together. Care must be taken so these hooks do not break during disassembly or reassembly.

Grasping the spout firmly, move the spout assembly upward until it clicks. Next, gently pull the spout assembly away from the body of the device.

Using the provided tool, remove the discharge valve located where the spout was, and the filling valve on the underside of the device.

Check ball valve in the discharge and filling valves. If the ball does not move freely, use an object such as a pipette tip to dislodge it.

Remove air vent cap by simply unscrewing it from the device body.

To reassemble the unit, follow the disassembly directions in reverse.
