MONTHLY 160 HOURS
Confirm Ready to Work
Ensure you are conducting work free from impairment and the effects of drugs, alcohol, or fatigue
For each task, always assess hazards and identify effective controls
Before loading or unloading fuel of any kind, always verify proper grounding and bonding. Never work on equipment that has not properly isolated, locked out and tagged
Avoid distractions at all times. Your driver safety training must be complete before operating any heavy vehicle. Wear your seat belt, obey speed limits, use wheel chocks and reverse park
Always use proper fall protection when working above heights of 1.8m (6'). Always maintain 3 points of contact exiting a truck, using a ladder or on stairs. Never enter a confined space without a permit. Employ proper purging and gas monitoring techniques and to enlist a dedicated spotter. If unsure, please talk with your supervisor
Prevent the risk of falling objects. Never walk or work under a suspended load. Always inspect all lifting equipment
Always wear correct personal protective equipment for the job (e.g. full fire resistant PPE)
Monthly 160 Hours
If major repairs are required , NECESSARY PERMITS are required
Carry out LOCK/OUT TAG OUT (LOTO) Prior to beginning work
Check oil level (maintain between high and low level marks located on bayonet gauge. Caution do not overfill!!!
Drain moisture accumulation from the air receiver
Drain drop legs and traps in air distribution system
Check oil pressure , if hot maintain 18 to 20 psig. For receiver pressures above 200 psig, maintain minimum oil pressure of 25 psig
Check for any unusual noise or excessive vibration
Check for oil leaks or any leaks at all
Operate the safety valves to ensure functionality
Clean the cooling surfaces of the inter-cooler, after-cooler and compressor
Check the air distribution system for leaks
Inspect oil for contaminations and change if necessary. Check more often when under humid or dirty conditions
Check the belt tension
Check pulley and pulley clamp screw or set screws for tightness
Inspect filters in unloader, pilot hydraulic unloader and three way valves
Check air compressor belts
Check pressure gauges for accuracy

THREE MONTHS 500 HOURS
Change oil and oil filter
Section #3
SIX MONTHS 1000 HOURS
Inspect compressor valves thoroughly for leakage and/or carbon build up
Change oil & oil Filter
Section #4
YEARLY 2000 HOURS
LUBRICATE ELECTRIC MOTOR AND/OR ENGINE
INSPECT THROUGHLY PRESSURE SWITCH DIAPHRAGM AND CONTACTS. ALSO CONTACT POINTS IN MOTOR STARTER.
