Follow this procedure to ensure inspection of possible maintenance issues, safety hazards and cleanliness of work area.
Check for any new maintenance issues: The technician should conduct a quick visual inspection of the surrounding area to see if any new maintenance issues have arisen since their last visit, such as leaking pipes, broken fixtures, or other issues.
Check for any safety hazards: The technician should be aware of any potential safety hazards, such as loose tiles, frayed electrical cords, or exposed wires, and should take appropriate action to address any issues they identify.
Check for cleanliness: The technician should assess the general cleanliness of the facility and take appropriate action to address any issues, such as picking up litter or debris or wiping down surfaces.
Check for unusual odors or noises: The technician should be aware of any unusual odors or noises that may indicate a potential issue with the facility's systems, and should take appropriate action to investigate and address any issues they identify.
Check the thermostat: The technician should check the temperature settings on the thermostat to ensure they are set correctly and that the HVAC system is functioning properly.
Check the lighting: The technician should check that all lights are functioning properly and that there are no burned out bulbs or other issues with the lighting system.
Check the plumbing: The technician should check for any issues with the plumbing, such as clogged drains or leaky faucets, and take appropriate action to address any issues they identify.
