• Remove grime and debris from window sills and door tracks.

• Check the interior and exterior finishes - peeling or water stains may indicate a leak, which means that they may need to be resealed or replaced.

• Check that gate closures and door closures are working properly and free of defects. Adjust closure speeds if necessary.

• Check all locks and knobs to ensure they work properly. Check for any loose screws in the hinges, door hardware, and strike plates.

• Add a non-oily lubricant to any windows or doors that are sliding or sticking. Lube the hinges, and check the key slots for sticky tumblers. Graphite if needed.

• Check for any damaged or broken windows or glass panes. Also check for any broken glass panels in any doors.

• Inspect the glazing around any older single pane windows for cracking or damage that could compromise the window seal.

• Ensure that all windows operate accordingly and are not painted or stuck shut.

• Inspect garage doors for proper and smooth operation and check for any damage to door, cables, or hardware. Test openers and hardware for proper operation. Grease door rails if necessary.
