Lennox XC15: Maintenance

This maintenance procedure and service must be performed by a qualified installer or service agency. This procedure focuses on checking your equipment's outdoor unit, how to clean and inspect the outdoor coil. Following the recommended maintenance procedure will help you maintain the superior efficiency of your unit for a long period of time.

Lennox XC15: Maintenance

See section II− for removing access panels. Maintenance and service must be performed by a qualified installer or service agency.

At the beginning of each cooling season, the system should be checked as follows:

Clean and inspect the outdoor coil. The coil may be flushed with a water hose. Ensure the power is turned off before you clean the coil.
Condenser fan motor is prelubricated and sealed. No further lubrication is needed.
Visually inspect connecting lines and coils for evidence of oil leaks.
Check wiring for loose connections.
Check for correct voltage at unit (unit operating).
Check amp−draw on condenser fan motor.

NOTE − If owner complains of insufficient cooling, the unit should be gauged and refrigerant charge checked. Refer to section on refrigerant charging in this instruction.
