Before performing any maintenance perform proper lock-out / tag-out procedure!
Perform Daily Inspection
EQUIPMENT ROOM PROCEDURES
High-Pressure Pump Station
Check belts for visible signs of wear
Verify pump oil is dark green, not milky or black & is at correct level
Verify correct operating pressure (800 psi)
Check tank for sediment or debris
Listen for chatter or cavatation from pump
Air Compressor
Drain water from tank
Check site glass to ensure oil is not milky or black
Alternate air compressors with shut off
Hot Water Boiler
Confirm that the unit is running
Floor Heat Boiler (If applicable in cold weather)
Confirm that the unit is running and appropriate antifreeze level in sight-glass
Air Manifold System
Listen for air leaks
Drain water from reservoir
Add oil to oil reservoir (if needed)
Check regulators for accurate operating pressures
Hydrominders
Check for smooth operation of floats
Check for air gaps in feed lines. Bleed if necessary.
Water Conditioning
Test water from softener for hardness (prep gun reservoir)
Top off salt in brine tank
Test TDS level of Spot Free water
WASH BAY PROCEDURES
Chemical Delivery & Rinse Arches
Unclog nozzles as needed
Check condition of hoses and connections
Chemical Wheel Applicators
Check pattern of spray
Check coverage on wheels
Entrance Photo Eyes
Gently wipe eyes clean
Check for two signal lights
Top Brush
Check wash material for wear
Grease brush core & 2 pivot arm bearings
Check for loose fasteners or rod ends
Lubricate retract cylinder with Tri-Flo
Check air pressure regulator setting for correct operational setting
Ensure movement is smooth during extension and retraction
RS 400 Lower Side Washer
Check wash material for wear
Grease main pivot bearings by removing 2 plugs (each side)
Check condition of hoses
Check for loose fasteners or rod ends
Grease rod end bearing
Lubricate retract cylinder with Tri-Flo
Ensure movement is smooth during extension and retraction
RS 301 High Side Washers
Check wash material for wear
Grease main pivot bearings by removing 2 plugs (each side)
Check condition of hoses
Check for loose fasteners or rod ends
Grease rod end bearing
Lubricate retract cylinder with Tri-Flo
Ensure movement is smooth during extension and retraction
Single Foamer
Check for proper foam application
RS-701 SuperFlex Wrap
Check wash material for wear
Grease 2 bearings on main arm and 1 on secondary arm (each side)
Check for loose fasteners or rod ends
Grease rod end bearings 4 each side
Check for proper function when washing vehicles
Conveyor (Remember to lockout power before servicing)
Inspect trench for debris, ice or dirt buildup, specially at entrance and exit ends
Clean conveyor pit as needed
Hose dirt from all levels of conveyor
Make sure grates are in place and flat. Bent grates can cause personal injury or vehicle damage.
Check roller up gate for free movement .
Check chain tension; make necessary adjustments or remove links if necessary
Check condition of air tension cylinders and listen for air leaks
Grease all Zerk fittings at entrance and exit
Lubricate roller up gate cylinder with Tri-Flo
Check tension cylinders for wear, lubricate with Tri-Flo
Inspect and clean clock switch
Inspect gear box shaft for oil leaks
Inspect conveyor weldments
Make sure chain is making proper contact with sprocket
Check sprocket for excess wear
Check bearings on take up drum for slop
Blowers
Clean trash and debris from inlet screen
Visually inspect impellers through intake and outlet.
Visually inspect smart nozzle for proper movement
Check belt on smart nozzle for wear
Inspect all mounting hardware
Prep Gun
Check to make sure protective tip is on and in good condition
Check for leaks
Check spray pattern
Hold gun in on position feel for strong steady delivery with no pulsation
Overhead Doors
Inspect overall condition
Lubricate rollers, hinges & locks
Check for proper operation of safety eyes and inductive loops
Clean Tunnel Equipment
Use mild soap and water (No Acids!)
Do not bump photo-eyes! Alignment is critical.
Do not make any repairs or adjustments unless properly trained & qualified! Call your service provider.
