Herbold Water Treatment Sump Pit

Open sump pit work.

• Before removing grates notify everyone that is affected that you will be removing grates to pit.

• Before removing grates block area off with cones or barrels also including caution tape and a sign do not enter area around pit.

• Before removing grates ensure area is secure.

• Remove grates and place grates in a safe place away from pit to ensure there is not a trip hazard.

• Start work that is required.

• When work is complete place grates back over pit ensuring proper fit.

• Remove all safety equipment and what what used to block area off.

• Notify everyone affected that area is safe to enter.
