GENERAL PMCS PROCEDURES
Solvent cleaning compound MIL-PRF-680 Type III is an environmentally compliant and low toxic material. However, it may be irritating to the eyes and skin. Use protective gloves and goggles. Use in well-ventilated areas. Keep away from open flames and other sources of ignition. Failure to do so may cause injury or death to personnel.
Procedures:
CAUTION! Operation is allowable with Class I and Class II leakage. WHEN IN DOUBT, NOTIFY YOUR SUPERVI- SOR. When operating with Class I or Class II leaks, check fluid levels more frequently. Class III leaks must be reported immediately to your supervisor. Failure to do this will result in damage to machine and/or com- ponents.
NOTE! Notify Unit Maintenance of any leaks the operator cannot fix.
NOTE • Lubrication instructions contained in this PMCS are mandatory. • Overall views of lubrications points are located at the end of this work package. • Refer to FM 9-207 for lubrication in arctic operation.
