Regular pump inspection enables responsible maintenance technicians to notice unusual situations instantly. Furthermore, it will help to get a feeling for how pumps and filters normally perform.
Visual Inspection
Check for any visible damage to the pump, cable, or control panel
Verify pump is securely mounted and supported
Inspect for any signs of leakage around the pump or cable entry point
Check for any unusual vibrations or noises
Observe pump discharge for any blockages or abnormalities
Operational Check
Verify pump is operating at correct voltage and amperage
Check pump start-up and shut-down sequence
Monitor pump performance (flow rate, head, power consumption)
Environment Check
Inspect pump sump for debris or obstructions
Check for proper water level in the pump sump
Verify sump overflow pump is functioning correctly (if applicable)
Maintenance and Cleaning
Inspect pump seals for wear and tear
Check for any build-up of solids on the pump impeller or volute
Clean pump and surrounding area as needed
Add or drag pictures
