Refrigerator Ice Maker

This procedure ensures ice maker is regularly inspected and cleaned to ensure its good working condition.

As Needed: Ice left too long developes an off smell and taste - empty the container and make sure the wire signal arm is down or in the ON position to make fresh ice.

As Needed: shake the ice container to keep the ice separated

As Needed: Keep the wire signal arm in the up or OFF position when the water supply is turned off

As Needed: wash the ice container in warm water and mild detergent, rinse and dry well before restoring.

As Needed: stop the ice maker when cleaning the freezer or on vacation or during an extended power outage

As Needed: if the ice maker will be turned off for an extended period of time, turn the water supply valve to the closed position. Remember to return it to the open position when you want to make more ice.
