Preventive Maintenance (PM) is the key to maximum running efficiency, less down time, and longer life out of an ice machine. Use this checklist for the primary items that need to be checked during the monthly preventive maintenance.
Preventive Maintenance: Ice Machines require periodic maintenance to be able to deliver like-new reliable performance.
The maintenance will be in three areas:

Note: In some areas the water supply to the ice maker will have a great deal of minerals in it, and that will result in an evaporator and auger becoming coated with these minerals, requiring more frequent maintenance than twice per year.
