    Global Safety Procedure

    SAFETY - LOCKOUT/TAGOUT

    (Always work safely! If you cannot do the job safely, do not do the job until it can be done safely!)

    (Follow all your Praxair Surface Technologies policies and procedures for lockout/tagout.)

    1) Verify all possible types of energy, Electricity, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Gas, Mechanical, Water Pressure, Steam, and all others that may apply.

      2) Install all locks and tags as needed to safely complete the job.

        3) Release any stored energy source, and verify that you do have a "Zero Energy State."

          4) Verify that your work area is safe and there are no possible hazards around you, If the job has known hazards get a "HWP" and always remember "Safety First."

            JOB COMPLETED, WORK AREA CHECKED & RELEASED

            Check work area before releasing equipment to production for operation.

            1) Remove all job trash from area, scrap parts, packaging materials, waste oil, product, rags, etc., any items remaining from work preformed.

              2) Clean all tools. Return all tools to their correct locations, and verify there are no tools remaining at job sight.

                3) The job requested above is completed. The area has been returned to production in safe and orderly manner.

                  4) Record all parts used, order additional parts for stock as needed.

                    1. Check and ensure Atomizer door anchor stands bolts for both doors are anchored tightly into the concrete. Tighten as necessary if needed.

                    2. Check all door lock pins and ensure no burs are evident. File down any burs that are evident.

                    3. Inspect door latching assemblies. Ensure all bearings turn freely and spray lightly with graphite lube.
