This procedure is for the general maintenance and cleaning of your Single Packaged Rooftop Units. It focuses on the cleaning, inspection of main burners flue gas passageways to name a few.

    FLUE GAS PASSAGEWAYS (48P ONLY)

    The flue collector box and heat exchanger cells may be in- spected by removing heat exchanger access panel, flue box cover, and main burner assembly (Fig. 46 and 47). If cleaning is required, remove heat exchanger baffles and clean tubes with a wire brush.

    Use caution with ceramic heat exchanger baffles. When installing retaining clip, be sure the center leg of the clip extends inward toward baffle. See Fig. 48.
