Honeywell RTH9585WF Thermostat Setup (New Wi-fi)

After installation of new thermostat, follow the instructions to program and setup.

Initial setup

Screen 1: Select "English" and click "Next"

Screen 2: Select "Business" and click "Next"

Screen 3: Update thermostat name. Check off "Display on Home Screen", and click "Next"

Screen 4: Check off "Cooling" & "Heating", then click "Next"

Screen 5: Select "Hot Water or Steam" and click "Next"

Screen 6: Select "Hot Water" and click "Next"

Screen 7: Select "1 Stage" and click "Next"

Screen : Select "1 Stage" and click "Next"

Screen 9: Click "Yes"

Screen 10: Click "GWF"

Screen 11: Enter the wifi password (911paniC) and click "Done"

Screen 12: You should see "Connection Successful". If not, re-enter password. Click "OK"

Register thermostat with Honeywell Total Connect Comfort

After completing the initial setup, the screen should show instructions to register the thermostat online, along with a "Thermostat MAC" & "Thermostat CRC". Take a picture of this screen

Add or drag pictures

Go to https://mytotalconnectcomfort.com/portal/ and login. Username: justin@garrettwilliamson.org Password: GWfacilities!9073

Click on the building that your thermostat is in (Barn/Main Lodge/Videon)

Click "Add Device"

Enter the MAC ID and CRC from the thermostat that you're setting up. Check off "I'm not a robot" and click "Submit"

Follow the instructions on the next page, the check off "I have changed the thermostat setting" and click "Submit"

You should see a page saying "Thermostat Registration Successful"

Advanced Preferences

Click "Settings" at the top of the thermostat screen, then click "Preferences". You may need to scroll down using the arrows to see it

Click "Advanced Preferences". You may need to scroll down to see it

Screen 1: Select "Programmable". Click "Next"

Screen 2: Select "Fahrenheit". Click "Next"

Screen 3: Select "Automatic". Use arrows to set heat/cool changeover separation to 3°. Click "Next"

Screen 4: Select "2 Periods Per Day", then click "Next"

Screen 5: Use the arrows to select "Off", then click "Next"

Screen 6: Select "Standard", then click "Next"

Screen 7: Use the arrows to change the override duration to 12 hours, then click "Next"

Screen 8: Select "Yes" for early heat recovery, then click "Next"

Screen 9: Select "Yes" for early cooling recovery, then click "Next"

Screen 10: Use the arrow keys to set the minimum cool limit to 60°, and the maximum heat limit to 80°. Click "Next"

Screen 11: Select "Unlocked", then click "Next"

Screen 12: Select "12 Hour", then click "Next"

Screen 13: Leave both offsets at 0. Click "Done"

Screen 14: Click "Yes"

Password Creation & Screen Lock

Click "Settings" at the top of the thermostat screen, then click "Security Settings". You may need to scroll down using the arrows to see it

Click "Create Password"

The thermostat will automatically create a password. Take a picture of the password screen, then click "Done"

Add or drag pictures

Click "Change Lock Mode"

Select the security setting depending on the thermostat location. Admin offices should be "Partially Locked". Common areas and classrooms should be "Fully Locked". Then click "Done"

Enter the password using the arrows to select the correct numbers, then click "Done"

Edit Notification Settings and Schedule

Go to https://mytotalconnectcomfort.com/portal/ and login. Username: justin@garrettwilliamson.org Password: GWfacilities!9073

Click on the building that your thermostat is in (Barn/Main Lodge/Videon)

Click on the Menu icon to the right of any of the existing thermostats in that building

In the "Settings" tab, scroll down to the bottom and click "Apply these changes to all thermostats in this location". Then click "Submit". This will only work if the new thermostat is already registered to that building

Scroll back up and click on the "Settings" tab. Click "Edit Schedule"

Select Monday-Friday. Click on the day to select

Click to enable both time periods. The first occupied period should be 6:30 AM. The first unoccupied period should be 6:30 PM

Use the arrows to set the temperatures to match the picture below

Select "Yes" to schedule the fan

Select "Automatic" for both fan period settings

Click "Continue"

Click "Yes" to schedule other days

Select Saturday and Sunday. Click on the day to select

Click to enable both time periods. The first occupied period should be 6:30 AM. The first unoccupied period should be 6:30 PM

Use the arrows to set the temperatures to match the picture below

Select "Yes" to schedule the fan

Select "Automatic" for both fan period settings

Select "Automatic" for both fan period settings

Click "Continue"

Click "No" when asked to schedule other days

Click "Submit" to save changes
