This procedure outlines the steps for performing a quarterly mechanical preventive maintenance (PM) on the Loma MD/CW system.
Infeed
Check infeed belt condition
Check infeed timing belt, sprockets and motor condition
Check infeed rollers for vibration and wear
Weigh Table
Check weigh table belt condition
Check weigh table timing belt, sprockets and motor condition
Check weigh table rollers for vibration and wear
Outfeed
Check outfeed belt condition
Check outfeed timing belt, sprockets and motor condition
Check outfeed rollers for vibration and wear
General
Check for loose bolts
Check machine is level
Check reject bins condition
Check condition of bin locking mechanism
Safety
Verify proper operation of safety switches
Verify proper operation of emergency stop features
Check safety cover conditions
Ensure all safety labels are legible and in place
Final Checks
Check for vibration and unusual noises
Test machine operation after PM
Check all belt tracking and tension whilst running
Sign off on the completion of the mechanical PM
