Manual Winch Lift Truck Inspection

The goal is to identify and address any potential issues, ensuring the equipment is in optimal condition for safe and efficient use.

    Before each use, inspect the lifter for any the following conditions:

    Cable for significant wear/fraying/damage

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Frame for damage/deformation

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Proper functioning of the carriage latch mechanism

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Unusual noise, binding or rough movement of the carriage

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    At least every 2 weeks, inspect the following:

    Winch, winch mounting bracket, cable, and pulley for unusual noises and binding or rough movement

    Winch spool integrity and smooth rotation

    Winch mounting bracket solid attachment and fastener tightness

    Cable for reeving, stretching, thinning portions
