Keeping the glue pot clean will not only help extend the life of your equipment, but it will help keep your glue running smoothly.

    ROUTINE MAINTENANCE - GENERAL WARNINGS

    Maintenance operations not described in this manual must ne performed only by the manufacturer's technicians For any maintenance operation use only spare parts supplied by the manufacturer. Spare parts codes are listed in the spare parts catalogue. Wood dust is a health danger. The assigned operators and maintenance personnel must use personal protection equipment (PPE) in function of the risks relative to the type of use. and in compliance with the laws and standards in force. The assigned operators and maintenance personnel must only perform the maintenance operations for which they are specifically skilled and qualified and with the consent of the company Health Safety Officer. The assigned operators and maintenance personnel are forbidden to leave the machine unsupervised while in operation and during maintenance operations. Cordon off the work area with a white/red chain and clearly display "Danger- Work in Progress" warning signs.

    Machine Status : Off in Position "0" and padlocked, and the compressed air stop clock closed and padlocked. Operators: 1 operator assigned. Every 8 working hours and when necessary, remover dust and shavings from the work unit using a vacuum cleaner with an appropriately shaped nozzle. Pay particular attention to the panel heating device (optional, if present) Cleaning Photoeye (pre-melting device QMS- Options) Machine Status : Off in Position "0" and padlocked, and the compressed air stop clock closed and padlocked. Operators: 1 operator assigned. Every 8 working hours and at the end of every work cycle clean the lenses of the photoeye that controls the insertion of glue in the tank. Use a soft cloth. WARNING! Harsh detergents, alcohol or solvents must never be used for cleaning the photoeye.

    ROUTINE MAINTENANCE - CLEANING THE CAPACITY PROBE

    Machine Status : Off in Position "0" and padlocked, and the compressed air stop clock closed and padlocked. Operators: 1 operator assigned. Glue tank state: At a temperature higher than 120 degrees C Operators: 1 Assigned operator Personal Protection Equipment: Gauntlets against the heat and/or fire Every 8 working hours and at the end of every working cycle, clean the capacity probe controlling the glue level in the tank. Proceed as follows: -Loosen the screw -Hold the probe body between your fingers and extract the probe. WARNING! Do not extract the probe by pulling the wire as this may cause the probe to stop working properly. -Remove any impurities form the prove using a soft cloth. -Fit the probe -Block the screw

    ROUTINE MAINTENANCE - CLEANING THE PRE-MELTING DEVICE PISTON

    GLUE TANK EASY-GLUE - OPTIONAL Machine Status : Off in Position "0" and padlocked, and the compressed air stop clock closed and padlocked. Operators: 1 operator assigned. Every 8 working hours with polyurethane glue or every 24 work hours with the EVA based glue, clean the pre-melting device piston. Proceed as follows: -Rotate and remove the piston -Clean the piston to remove any impurities using a soft cloth -Install the piston proceeding in revers order.

    ROUTINE MAINTENANCE - GLUE TANK CLEANING

    Machine Status : Off in Position "0" and padlocked, and the compressed air stop clock closed and padlocked. Operators: 1 operator assigned. The glue tank (for "EVA-based" glue or specifically for "PU" glue) should be cleaned every 40 working hours or whenever necessary. The specific polyurethane glue tank should be cleaned even if it is not used for periods more than 12 + 18 hours (if there is no reservoir for the glue tank). Proceed as follows: -Dismantle the glue tank. - Clean glue tank using wooden spatula. WARNING! DO NOT USE METAL TOOLS FOR CLEANING DO NOT USE SOLVENTS Additional operations should be carried out with glue tank specific or polyurethane glue. - Introduce the right quantity of "cleaning agent for polyurethane glue" in tank (if reservoir for glue tank is not available) -Supply voltage to the machine. - Switch the glue tank on and wait for the right working temperature necessary for the polyurethane glue. - Make the machine work idly for 5-10 minutes, so that the cleaner can freely act. - Switch the machine off. - Before resuming work: remove the cleaning agent by using a wood spatula, add a small polyurethane glue quantity and totally remove the cleaning agent + glue mixture by using waste panels.

    ROUTINE MAINTENANCE - GLUE TANK EASY GLUE CLEANING (OPTIONAL)

    Machine Status : Off in Position "0" and padlocked, and the compressed air stop clock closed and padlocked. Operators: 1 operator assigned. a) "EVA based" glue tank. Must be cleaned every 40 working hours and when necessary. Proceed as follows: -Dismantle the glue tank. - Clean glue tank using wooden spatula. WARNING! DO NOT USE METAL TOOLS FOR CLEANING. DO NOT USE SOLVENTS. b) Polyurethane glue tank. It should be cleaned in case of non-use periods longer than 12/18 hours. Proceed as follows: - Perform operations to load the glue tank with deaner. - Make the machine work idly for 5/10 minutes, so that the cleaner can freely act - Switch the machine off, - Before resuming work: perform the operations to replace the cleaner with the glue required to carry out the tanks in hand.

    ROUTINE MAINTENANCE - GLUE SPREADER ROLLER BEARING GREASING

    GLUE TANK EASY-GLUE NOT INCLUDED Machine Status : Off in Position "0" and padlocked, and the compressed air stop clock closed and padlocked. Operators: 1 operator assigned. Every 40 working hours grease the bearing of the flue spreader roller. Use the special greaser USE KLUBERSYNTH BH 72-422 GREASE EXCLUSIVELY WARNING! Do not put too much grease in the lubrication circuit. Only press the greaser lever one or two times.

    ROUTINE MAINTENANCE - GREASING THE CHAIN

    Machine Status : Off in Position "0" and padlocked, and the compressed air stop clock closed and padlocked. Operators: 1 operator assigned. Every 400 hours of operation grease the transmission chain. Proceed as follows: -Remove the guard -Lubricate the chain with AGIP GR MU EP 1 grease (or equivalent) -Mount the guard
