    Safety Devices

    Check that the EMERGENCY STOP buttons are working correctly and effectively.

     Functional testing of the EMERGENCY STOP circuit must be performed during an active cutting process for each EMERGENCY STOP button on the laser cutting machine. • Set up the machine and start the cutting process. • Press EMERGENCY STOP button. The EMERGENCY STOP circuit is working correctly if all electrical loads are disconnected from the power supply. The power supply to the controller is not switched off. • EMERGENCY STOP buttons are fitted: o On the operating terminal o On the hand-held controller o On the shuttle-table console. • Unlock the actuated EMERGENCY STOP button and restart the laser cutting machine as described in the operating instructions. Reset the actuated EMERGENCY STOP button and re-start the machine.

    Check that the area scanner is working correctly and effectively.

     Start the table interchange (Table interchange button on the shuttle-table console or ByVision Cutting user interface).  Trip the area scanner while the table interchange is in progress. The monitoring system for the danger zone on the shuttle table is working correctly if the table interchange stops immediately.  Enable area scanner.  Continue the table interchange.

    Check warning and information labels on the complete laser cutting machine. Labels must be replaced if they are very worn or no longer legible.

    Do not change the position of the labels when replacing them. The position of each of the signs is shown in the following figures.

    Check the door seal on the safety door. Replace the seal if worn or damaged

    Dust Extraction System

    Dust Extraction System: Visually Inspection that all dampeners are clear of debris and operating properly

    Check condition of nozzles. Clean or replace if necessary.

    Shuttle Table System

    Use cleaning cloth or wire brush to remove cutting residues along the entire length of the hexagonal guides.

    Check the tension of the roller chain. Tighten the roller chain if necessary.

    Pneumatic System

    Check all loads, valves, and pipes for leaks. Seal leaky elements or replace as necessary.

    Central Lubrication System

    Perform visual check for leaks. Seal leaky elements or replace as necessary.

    Nozzle Changer

    Check nozzle sensors for soiling. Clean if necessary.

    Check that the magazine wheels are held firmly in place.

    Bent or damaged nozzles should not be used in the nozzle changer system. The machine will not pick them up.

    Cutting Gas Supply

    Check supply lines for leaks. Submit a maintenance request if any leaky pipes are found.

    Repairs to Leaky Pipes MUST ONLY BE PERFORMED BY A GAS FITTER
