Extract carpet/ replace carpeting, vinyl flooring
All doors operational: open, shut and latch
Front door self-latches
Windows are in operational order. The latches and balances are working. Window opening limiters are in place (6” max). Windows are not cracked or fogged. Window screens are present, intact, no holes or cuts.
Appliances are in working order. Microwave, Refrigerator, Stove top and Garbage Disposal. All parts to the appliances are present.
Kitchen cabinets are in good condition. All doors work, are not pealing, shelving in place, countertop in good condition, sink and faucet in good condition (no leaks present), hot and cold water working.
All electrical outlet and light switch covers are secure with all screws and damage free
Bathroom vanity in good condition. Doors working and not pealing, countertop in good condition and faucet/ sink in good condition, no leaks present. Hot and cold water working.
Toilet works properly. Not leaking.
Shower works properly, no cracks in the surround, hot and cold water present, no leaks in the hose or shower head, caulk in good condition
Bathroom grab bars have been inspected and in working order.
All ceiling lights in the apartment and vanity lights working.
Bathroom exhaust fan and heater are working.
A new shower curtain has been installed.
Yearly Service of Apartment HVAC Unit
Smoke detectors, CO detectors and moisture sensors: Batteries replaced and tested.
Apartment has been completely cleaned: Shower, toilet, vanity (inside and out) grab bars. All windows (inside and out) Refrigerator, microwave, kitchen cabinets (inside and out), countertop. Closets. Vinyl floors scrubbed clean and carpets vacuumed.
Nurse Call Test
test each nurse call pull cord in an apartment and verify that it works, reports to the annunciator panel and reports proper location
When pulled, the device activates the annunciator panel and alerts staff
The device location on the annunciator panel matches the location in the apartment.
Nurse call pulls cord length adjusted to within 4” of floor but does not touch floor
