Rotary Vane Feeder Preventive Maintenance

Follow this procedure for the regular inspection of your rotary vane feeder including all its components to ensure proper working condition of the machine.

    Visually inspect belt and sheaves for cracks or wear

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Inspect guard – motor mounts and bearings

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Inspect assembly bearings - functional

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Guards are free of buildup

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Verify no leaks are around gearbox or seals

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    If equipped with auto greaser, ensure it is working properly

    • Pass

    Blow down entire assembly inspect screens – bolts – welds

    • Pass

    Inspect screens for holes or wear

    • Pass

    Inspect feeder pan/chutes for holes – patch if needed

    Inspect all nut – bolts – tighten as needed

    Inspect wedge or bars that lock screens in place – ensure all is tightened

    Verify condition of springs/hangers and cables are operational

    Inspect feed and discharge chutes for wear – cracks – missing bolts – (repair as needed)

    Verify frame and structure are free of cracks – missing bolts – or other damage (repair as needed)

    Examine overall condition of assembly
