Hoist Inspection

Use this procedure for a regular hoist inspection including its hooks, limit switches, chain, springs, wire/reeving and brakes.

    Hook - Good condition- No cracks, bends or excessive wear

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Any unusual sounds when operated.

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Hoist Chain - No cracks, nicks, or damage. Chain aligned with sprockets.

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Hook Springs - In good working order.

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Wire/Reeving - No broken wires, strands, or deformation. Wire is properly reeved and not twisted.

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Brakes - No drift, normal stopping distance.

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail
