Follow this procedure for the regular inspection of your rotary vane feeder specifically its bels, sheaves, guard, assembly, gearbox, greaser, feed and discharge chutes and its overall condition.
Inspect belt and sheaves for cracks or wear
Inspect guard – motor mounts and bearings
Inspect assembly bearings - functional
Guards are free of buildup
Verify no leaks are around gearbox or seals
Auto greaser is working properly
Blow down entire assembly inspect screens – bolts – welds
Inspect screens for holes or wear
Inspect wedge or bars that lock screens in place – ensure all is tightened
Verify condition of springs/hangers and cables are operational
Inspect feed and discharge chutes for wear – cracks – missing bolts – (repair as needed)
Verify frame and structure are free of cracks – missing bolts – or other damage (repair as needed)
Examine overall condition of assembly
Run before releasing to operations
