Mix pump strainer basket cleaning

Procedure for cleaning the mix pump strainer basket.

The mix pump strainer baskets need to be cleaned 1x per shift. This process can be completed while the Treat system is running, but the MIX system must be idle.. The primary person responsible for cleaning the baskets is the shift Treater.

Ensure the mix system is idle and time the cleaning for when the mix pump won't be needed for 5 minutes.

The treat system auto circulates the tanks on a set schedule throughout the day. The mix pump also auto circulates when the PCS steps from Empty to Final Vacuum. The Treater must disable auto circulate for Final Vacuum and the periodic auto circ.

Disable the pump in the Device Disable screen

Grab necessary tools from the shadow board and LOTO the mix pump at the breaker.

Ensure the manual valves on the suction and discharge side of the pump are physically shut prior to loosening the bolts of the mix pump.

Loosen the T-Bolts in the center of the bracket arms, swing arms to the side, remove lid, pull basket out by the handle, dump contents of the basket into the bucket *being sure to remove all debris, use the basket cleaning tools as needed..

Once the basket is cleaned, inspect the seal of the lid, ensure there is no debris on/in the lip of the lid, replace cleaned basket, and tighten T-bolts down (make sure you tighten them evenly and no need to overtighten...snug is fine)

After the bracket arms are tightened, return the mix pump to normal operation (remove lock from the breaker and re-enable the mix pump in the PCS)

Treater must ensure they have turned all auto circulate functions back on in the PCS (mix system properties and Final Vac. auto circ.
