Checking ZB Brake Adjustment

LOTO the electrical source of the machine
Wear a knee protector
Check the needed tool before usage : 4mm long arm Allen key , Metric gauge feeler ( 0.3mm to 1mm), circlip to the outside to remove the fan, 10mm wrench key

Step 01: Check the airgap between the magnebody and the back of the pressure plate
Step 02: Compare the airgap to the allowable range as published in the tables found in the Operating Instructions. which is between 0.3mm and 1mm) for B003 type of brakes
Step 03: The remaining brake disc thickness must also be checked and compared to published tables which is 3.5mm
Step 04: If the disc is thinner than the minimum allowed thickness (3.5mm), the brake must be replaced

Step01: Tighten the three nuts until the brake gap is zero
Step02: loosen them slightly to create the published minimum air gap found in the table ( 0.3mm to 1mm)
Step03: Check the air gap with a feeler gage all around the circumference to make sure it is even and consistent
Step04: Finish by replacing covers.
