SawStop Brake Cartridge Replacement

Check Retraction block for signs of wear.

Remove brake cartridge

• Rest retraction block. Turn elevation handwheel counter clockwise until lower limit is reached.

• Raise the arbor until brake cartridge is accessible.

• Remove the blade and brake cartridge.

• Discard the blade.

Enter a description of what happened when the cartridge fired.

Type of cut being made.

• Rip Cut

• Cross cut

Number of teeth on the blade.

Material being cut.

Name of person operation the saw.

Saw serial number.

Date and time it happened.

Return saw to operation.

• Install new blade and cartridge.

• Check alignment of the blade guard.

• Calibrate fence to new blade.

• Test cut a piece of material.

Record the following information on a tag and attach to the brake cartridge.

• Table saw serial number

• Date and time

• Name of person operating the saw.
