Air Manifold Reducer Duct Inspection

Follow this checklist to see if duct reducer needs to be replaced.

AIR MANIFOLD REDUCER INSPECTION

Hover your hand over and around the 3D printed reducer between the rack's fans and air manifolds

You should not feel a strong breeze. If you do, follow the replacement procedure.

Attempt to lightly shift the reducer to see if it is either easy to dislodge or it comes off easily.

If it can easily come off or get dislodged, follow the replacement procedure.

Air Manifold Reducer Duct Replacement

With a socket wrench or screwdriver, remove the two screws that fasten the adapter to the fan, and the two screws that fasten the adapter to the manifold's PVC pipe.

Slip a new reducer over the fan's socket and slide the manifold into the reducer.

Re-install the 2 fan screws and the 2 manifold screws. The screws should be self-drilling, but attempt to install in the same locations. Do not press in the screws overly hard as to not damage the 3D printed part. The screws should drill through instead of push through the reducer.
