The Ignition integration connects data from your PLCs, sensors, and industrial control systems to MaintainX. By streaming tags through the MaintainX module for Ignition, you can automate meter readings, trigger work orders, and monitor asset health in real time—empowering your team to shift from reactive to proactive maintenance.

How it works
1. Contact us.
Book a tour with a product expert. If you're already a MaintainX customer, ask your organization's Administrator to enable the OT Data Connectors feature, then follow our setup guide.
2. Create a connector.
In MaintainX, create an Ignition instance and generate an access token (unique per instance).
3. Configure Ignition.
Install the MaintainX module for Ignition. Input your access token and add the tag paths for all tags you want to stream into MaintainX.
4. Add tags and map to meters.
Map machine tags to MaintainX meters. Use Smart Tag Mapping to streamline setup.
5. Start automating.
Set up usage-based and condition-based Automations.

- Must have an Ignition version greater than 8.1.3, but within the 8.1.x series.
- Must have MaintainX's Premium or Enterprise Plan
