In the spirit of Thanksgiving, November has been a heck of a month for product updates at MaintainX. From downtime tracking to work request management, we’ve served up a bounty of new and improved functionality over the past few weeks.
With so much to explore and the holiday season rolling in, we wanted to send a reminder of what’s new.
So let’s take a look at some of the updates maintenance teams were most thankful for in November.
Streamline downtime tracking with improved asset status features
If you’re not yet using Asset Status to track downtime, there’s never been a better time to start. Our latest updates have made it easier for your technicians to mark equipment online and offline in MaintainX. We have also rolled out new Reporting features that give you cost-saving reliability insights.
You can now change the status of your assets as you’re creating work orders, without stepping outside of your usual workflow. When work is completed on an asset that’s marked offline, your techs will be prompted automatically to mark it online again.
As well as making this process easier, we’ve also improved your ability to capture actionable data. It’s now mandatory for your techs to indicate when the equipment went down, and whether or not it was planned or unplanned.
The rewards for tracking downtime in MaintainX just got even bigger for customers on our Enterprise plan. Earlier this month, we added a suite of new charts to their Reporting dashboards, allowing them to measure asset availability, identify problematic assets, and perform fast root cause analysis.
Take control of work order and request management with new custom permissions
Work Order Templates and Request Routing are two of this year’s most celebrated additions to MaintainX. Both features help to streamline the way work is managed by reducing manual steps and unnecessary noise for both supervisors and technicians.
In November, we made these features even more powerful by introducing custom permissions on our Enterprise plan to limit visibility.
You can now enable technicians to create work orders from templates only, which streamlines the process and reduces human error. You can also limit request approvers to view only requests assigned to their team.
To start using these custom permissions, contact your account manager.
Export your procedures for improved audit management
To help you supply auditors and internal stakeholders with the information they request, you can now export your procedures as PDF. This makes them easier to print or attach to an email.
To export a blank copy of a procedure as PDF, just click the three-dot menu on any given procedure in your library. You can then click “Export to PDF,”, saving you the hassle of having to take screenshots of your digital inspection checklists.
Keep your inventory in check with enhanced parts filtering
When you have hundreds or even thousands of spare parts in your inventory, it can be tough to find the right part, track stock counts, and make purchasing decisions.
Earlier this month, we bolstered our Parts Inventory module by upgrading the filters. You can now filter your parts list in the same way you can work orders. Using the “one of” and “none of” operators helps you be more specific about the parts you want to pull up.
Thanks for driving a bigger and better MaintainX
Customer input was as important as ever for everything we launched in November.
We appreciate all the feedback we receive and encourage you to tell us how we can do more to support your daily maintenance and operations.
